About
Hi, my name is Katelyn! I have grown to love the University of Michigan-Flint and this community. As a Communication Studies Major, I was able to take what I have learned and directly apply it into departments on campus, student organizations, and volunteering. These departments include Conferences & Events, School of Management, Office of Economic Development, and the Office of Marketing & Communications. I’ve found my identity as a storyteller, using my various jobs and education to tell the unique stories of our campus and community. My biggest accomplishment has been writing articles for UM-Flint. I am honored to have met people all throughout campus who have greatly inspired me. I owe it to the University of Michigan-Flint for sculpting me into the person and professional I am today. Thank you to my family, friends, coworkers, and faculty members for your support. Go Blue!
Favorite Memory at the UM-Flint
Some of my favorite memories have been meeting my best friends and going to downtown restaurants like the Flint Crepe Company. Other fun memories were helping to plan Blue Bash, competing in a holiday office decorating contest, and working on a UM-Flint television commercial with my department (where I ended up shouting my one-liner, "Brains!").
Plans for Celebrating Graduation
I am celebrating by going on a bucket list vacation: taking a literary and historical tour of New England!
